Global Trade Compliance Manager


GrafTech is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of carbon and graphite products for industrial applications in a diverse array of industries: metal production, electronics, chemicals, aerospace and transportation, among others.  We operate eleven state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities strategically located on four continents with our corporate headquarters located in Cleveland (Parma), OH.  We sell to customers in about 80 countries worldwide.



We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead and manage regulation compliance for import and export shipments. He/she will act as company expert for the coordination, registration, distribution, application, and compliance with any required export/import license applications, ITAR Regulations, general correspondence and any terms and conditions thereof.  In addition, ensure that GrafTech is providing all required documentation for the compliant transfer of exports through US Customs.  He/she will establish and own policies and procedures necessary to ensure regulation compliance and be the central resource for regulation training and coordination of audits. 


 


Required Qualifications:


 



  • Superior knowledge of US Customs laws and export regulations.

  • Must have extensive working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, trade sanctions, and FCPA.

  • 3-5 years experience in import and export administration.

  • 5+ years experience in International Trade Compliance.

  • Bachelors Degree in business or related degree. 

  • Excellent communication, writing, and grammar skills, paying great attention to detail.

  • Flexible/adaptive to a fast-paced and fluid business environment.

  • Above average proficiency in MS Office and various systems/IT software preferred.
